He said the president should act immediately if the military is able to strike.

Ms. McGowan must be addled if, as she claims ”We do not know how to escape”, presumably from the United States.

Certainly as a “successful” actress (https://www.imdb.com/name/nm0000535/) Ms. McGowan should have sufficient funds to (a) acquire a U.S. passport (assuming she is a naturalized citizen) and (b) a ticket to any country that will have her — Iran might welcome her. If she lacks the funds, surely some misguided Conservative who “disrespected your country, your flag, your people” could pony up the money. How about a Go Fund Me page for those ersatz “stars” so they can go elsewhere — ANY “elsewhere.”

I am a “Born in the U.S.A.” American and I have a passport.

My Spouse is a naturalized U.S. citizen and she, too, has a U.S. passport.

I suppose — and this is just “supposition” — that all the Hollywood elite who promised to leave the U.S. if Donald Trump was elected president lack U.S. or other country’s passports thus explaining why they still are in the U.S.

The Hollywood Reporter (https://tinyurl.com/ut9lfzk) tried to follow up on 20 “stars” who promised to leave the country if Trump won. One who is a Canadian citizen still has a U.S. address. Canada’s PM is a liberal; why does the woman insist on staying in the U.S.?

The UK’s Guardian (https://tinyurl.com/ycxtd755), under a headline reading ”'I really will': the stars who didn't move to Canada when Trump won”, lists most self-important pseudo “stars” — an exception being Streisand and maybe one other — who promised, then reneged on relocation.

Was anyone preventing them for leaving for “parts unknown?”

Is California REALLY America

Perhaps the reason the Hollywood hypocrites are still in California is because of all the Several States, parts of California are totally “out of sync” with the rest of the country. (Having lived in true “Northern California,” that is north of Sacramento, I know there are parts of the state where people work hard, primarily ranching and farming.)

The question should not be “Is California part of America” but “Is (southern) California representative of America.”

The PhD candidate was one of 52 undergraduate and graduate students from Imperial College London who were in Israel getting acquainted with the local high-tech scene.

IT MAY COME AS A SURPRISE to Rep. Ilhan Omar & her like-minded friends, that EVEN Muslims acknowledge that Israel offers equal opportunities to ALL its citizens.

Had she done her homework and visited Israel — there are multiple congressional junkets each year … they beat working for the back home constituency and it’s all on the taxpayer’s tab — she could see for herself what the PhD candidate saw. She might also visit Gaza and the PLO-controlled areas.

Israel, given her on-going rants and lies about Jews and Israel, may not allow her to enter the country. That, I think, would be a mistake on Israel’s part. Let her in, give her an Arab escort — surely there must be a few Somalis in Israel — so she can see for herself. Israel, similar to the U.S. has been inundated by illegal aliens and, again as in the U.S., the Supreme Court consistently rules in favor of the illegals.

Let the Muslim representatives come as a group; let them bring their leftist congressional compatriots as well.

On their way to Israel, maybe the travelers can stretch their legs in Libya, a shining example of Obama’s “Arab Spring.”

The Muslims in the contingent might, after visiting Israel, visit Saudi Arabia and maybe even Yemen.

In Saudi Arab the ladies will need a change of clothes or risk being caned in public. Western dress and uncovered heads will bring the wrath of mutawa (“religious” police). ^{1, 2, 3} A whipping might be the result of being immodesty dressed.

Fortunately for women in Israel, that does NOT occur in Israel; not even to Muslim women.

The congressional junketeers could buy property in Israel. Only Muslims are allowed to buy property in Gaza and the PLO-controlled areas. Selling to a non-Muslim carries a possible death penalty.

If Omar et al can get into Gaza, maybe they will have an opportunity to shop in the strips first class mall. They probably will see homes of the poor, but it is less likely they will visit the homes of Hamas’ leadership.

It they have time in Israel, the congressional tourists might go shopping in a Rami Levy supermarket where, unless they close their eyes, they will see Arab and Jews working side by side. If they ask how much each makes for the same job, they will learn the answer is “equal pay for equal work.”

At the same time, if they could interview former SodaStream workers from the PLO-controlled areas they might find some unhappy Arabs. The “equal pay for equal work” they enjoyed while employed by SodaStream is gone, thanks to BDS. The Jews who worked for SodaStream could simply relocate with the company.

Omar and her ilk SHOULD be allowed to enter Israel, on the proviso that they also visit both Gaza and the PLO-occupied territories.

Will it happen?

Not likely.

When an ignoramus makes up his or her mind, even seeing facts in front of their faces will not bring about a change.

Hate is a wonderful thing: Haters don’t have to think about the truth; they don’t have to listen to the truth, and they certainly don’t have to see the truth.

Opuscula Some Dems object To anti-Semitec words; Others are silent

THERE WAS AN INTERESTIING ARTICLE headlined Rep. Ilhan Omar apologizes for controversial tweets on Israel lobby after backlash from Democratic leaders .¹

The headline writer made it sound as if the Democrats were embarrassed by Omar’s continuing anti-Semitic slurs.

Apparently only a few Democrats were bothered by the woman’s remarks.

INTERESTINGLY, one of the representative’s fellow representaives — a Jew — apparently does not find her words offensive.

Rep. Debbie Wasserman-Schultz (right), disgraced and fired as DNC chair, was NOT among the Democrats listed as chastising Ms. Omar.

Wasserman-Schultz was elected to represent a heavily Jewish district that, while having a large observant (read “Orthodox”) population, is mostly leftist Reform and Conservative.

Perhaps Rep. Wasserman-Schultz agrees with Ms. Omar.

Rep. Alcee Hastings (right), a congressional neighbor of Wasserman-Schultz, name also was absent from the list of Democrats suggesting that Ms. Omar was out of line.

Rep. Ted Deutch (right) from a neighboring congressional district agreed with the “Democratic leaders” that Ms. Omar needs to curb her tongue.

Although neither a Democrat or representative, Sen. Marco (I’m always running for president) Rubio DID agree with the leaders.

Dade County (FL) representatives also were noticeably absent. Between Dade and Broward counties, only New York has a greater concentration of Jews — observant and otherwise.

The silence was — is — deafening.

 

They’re undecided now, so what are they gon’na do?²

Rep. Omar and her ilk know they can (and they do) say anything, no matter who is offended.

They know that the day after, they can say “Sorry ‘bout that” or “I was misquoted” and the fools they insulted yesterday will accept their crocodile tears today.

Fool me once, shame on you. Fool me twice, shame on me.

Certainly Ms. Omar has freedom of speech, here if not in her native Somalia.

But with that freedom goes responsibility, especially from an elected official. Ms. Omar & Friends have exercised the first part — freedom of speech — but seem to ignore the responsibility part.

The nation already is politically polarized; the words of the far left Democrats only serve to widen the chasm.

The nation never has been of one mind, but I don’t recall the nation ever being so divided since the War for Southern Independence, a/k/a the American Civil War. I suppose, seeing all the demonstrations against anything and everything “Confederate,” the war continues to this day; never mind the totality of history.

Oh well, America had a good run. It once was a respected power.

Now we, Americans, are tearing it apart.
